Preparation Time: 20 minutes

Pasta salad Caprese inspired by insalata Caprese, a summer favorite with fresh mozzarella sandwiched between sliced beefsteak tomatoes flavored by fresh basil leaves and olive oil. The addition of cold pasta is a refreshing and satisfying addition.


Ingredients for 4 people:

  • 8 ounces farfalle
  • 6 ounces tomatoes cut in cubes
  • 6 ounces mozzarella cut in smal cubes
  • 1/4 red onion thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh oregano finely chopped
  • 12 fresh leaves of  basil
  • salt and pepper
  • 1/2 cup olive oil



Put all ingredients in a large bowl except pasta. You can use dry oregano. Tear basil leaves by hand.

Add cooked cooled pasta. Mix well and let rest before serving.
