Fettuccine alla Panna

Fettuccine alla panna will impress you. How an easy to prepare dish can be so good. It’s practically a deluxe version of the pasta butter and cheese. It can take a minute or two more, but quite a difference. Still is part of the quick pasta recipes.

 

 

 

 

Ingredients for 4 people:

  • 1 pound fettuccine
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup cream
  • 4 tablespoons Parmesan
  • Nutmeg
  • Salt and pepper

 

Directions:

Put cream in a large pan and heat adding nutmeg, salt and pepper, If cream too thin, reduce to more consistency by heating cream at low heat

Drain pasta and keep aside half cup of the cooking water. Add the butter to the cream and let it melt, then put the fettuccine, and parmesan. Mix for a minute or so. f you need, add the cooking water that you had kept aside.

 

Note: best if you use fresh homemade pasta and freshly grated parmigiano reggiano. Also with fresh grated nutmeg and fresh ground pepper you’ll have a super fettuccine alla panna dish.
