Bucatini with tomato and ricotta  a very simple combination for an enjoyable dish of pasta.

 

Ingredients for 4 people:

  • 1 pound bucatini
  • 1 and 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 cup ricotta
  • salt
  • pepper

 

Directions:

Heat tomato sauce in a large pan where you’ll finish the bucatini. Add ricotta, break it up and mix with sauce.

Save some water from the bucatini. When cooked, drain and toss them into pan. Mix well with sauce adding pepper and some water from the pasta if necessary.

Note: you can use other kind of long thick pasta, like vermicelli or whatever you think.

For tomato sauce a simple sauce like in the spaghetti alla carrettiera is fine. Basil will add fragrance.
